Pop-up Blockers
BB-CE6 uses pop-up windows to deliver requested content; if you have a pop-up blocker installed in your browser, turn it off while using the course management system. You should see the BB-CE6's Browser Check window each and every time you log in to the system.
Java Configuration
BB-CE6 relies heavily on Java, so you may be prompted (initally) to accept a Java Security Certificate. You must click Yes or Always to ensure system functionality. If you are getting a Java Security Warning, download and apply the resolution instructions.
New User or Browser?
If this is your first time (or your web browser's first time) visiting DSU's online course management system, Blackboard-Campus Edition 6 (also known as BB-CE6 or, simply, CE6), you will need to configure your web browser so that it can render Java and JavaScript. You can do this by running a
browser check
to determine if your web browser is properly configured. For best results, remedy browser issues by following the prompts provided during the check. Note that courses run best in the 7.0 version of Internet Explorer at a 1152 x 824 display. The best browser alternates are Firefox, Chrome, and Safari (for Mac users).
